Ahh yes, brings to mind an old saying: Dogs have owners. Cats have staff.

ROFL

Even funnier then the cartoon, I find the attempt to block copying the cartoon!

Sorry, apparently I briefly channeled Yoda.

They seriously think a simple screen print won't work? Or - the really low tech method - taking a picture of the computer screen with a camera. Ya know... like the one on your phone. Sure... on my phone it's a bit blurry - but that's not really the point when it comes to an attempt to try and stop unauthorized (notice I didn't say illegal) copying in such a technical age as we live in.

And then there's viewing the source and seeing the URL direct to the image - which can be entered and the cartoon presented directly in another tab of your browser.

I guess it's just another case of not understanding the simple technology in use all around us and the many, many ways that would need to be blocked to truly prevent copying.

So... ummm....

... is my taking a photo of the image on screen technically in breach of the digital prevention measure that was applied and make me a potential candidate for a DMCA violation?

I don't really need anyone to answer that - it's more of a rhetorical question that shows how badly worded the DMCA Laws are.

Imagine your 3 year old learning how to use a camera and without thinking about it taking such a photo. Ooohhh... the criminal mastermind at work!
