If they knew about possible bias from being a Seagate
employee, but let him in hoping for advantage, but then
complain about bias?
Surely the argument will be that they should have objected
at the time? Would it affect credibility of the complaint?
There are obviously many other problems with hogan anyway[ Reply to This | Parent | # ]

working for Seagate might have led Samsung to think he would be
inclined to be favorable to Samsung
Or unfavourable if he left
on bad terms. However, this is Silicon Valley. People there change jobs all the
time and have little loyalty to any particular employer. He mentioned a series
of companies. He could like a great many people there have job hopped looking
for a better salary or promotion. Or, like many people he could have migrated
from project to project with the changing fortunes of different companies. There
is nothing particularly unusual in that list.
The point is not Seagate
having been one of his many employers. It's the lawsuit; that is unusual
and significant. I think The Verge is attempting a bit of misdirection.
