Which hasn't changed
since you've been posting on GROKLAW!"
I was not aware that I
hated Samsung in the two years 4 months that I
have been posting here, although
I have said in a previous post "In
conclusion,
I think that Apple's
success
may be
down to taking existing
technology and combining it in ways that look
obvious, but that no one
has been successful with before. Samsung's success has
generally been in
technology and hardware design. Their software design is
usually is poor
- My wife's Samsung 'phone is dreadful. "
I have no idea
about your posting history, as your post is anonymous.
Because
it's really a travesty of justice to just
point the finger here at Samsung.
Just because they've
announced Record Profits that Beat OUT Apple's!

Your comment seems to be off-topic, as well as inaccurate -
Last
quarter
profits (Q3 2012) are Samsung: $7.3 billion vs. Apple:
$8.8 billion.
In our household we own two computers running Debian;
Samsung
monitors; an iMac running OS X,
and Windows and Android as virtual
machines; an old Mac mini (that
won't be replaced); an iPad, a Samsung
phone;
a Samsung refrigerator;
and an old Nokia phone.
We are aware that it is
difficult to use
technology only from 'ethical' companies - Apple, Microsoft
and Google have
all behaved in ways that cause me disquiet. Samsung seems
to be far
from an ideal corporate citizen - Their Chairman has
an interesting
history Wikipedia Link - Lee
Kun-hee :
On January 14, 2008, Lee's home and office were
raided by
the Korean police for an ongoing probe into accusations that Samsung
is
responsible for a slush fund used to bribe
influential
prosecutors,
judges, and political figures in South Korea.[3] On April 4,
2008 he denied
allegations against him for his role in the Samsung Slush
Funds scandal.[4]
After the second round of
questioning by the
South Korean prosecutors which
occurred on April 11, 2008, Lee was
quoted by reporters saying "I am
responsible for everything. I will assume
full moral and legal responsibility.”
On July 16,
2008, The New
York Times reported that the Seoul Central District
Court found him guilty
on charges of financial wrongdoing and tax evasion.
Prosecutors
requested that Lee be sentenced to seven years in
prison and fined
$347 million. The court fined him $109 million and sentenced him to 3
years suspended jail time.
Although as in my reply below - My
Nokia is so old that it was made by
people with
socialist leanings in
Finland.
It is unlikely that I will buy an iPhone to replace it, and I
certainly will not
be buying a Samsung.
