From the Reuters article mentioned in parent post, Hogan
claims he sued Seagate for fraud, and that Seagate countersued.
Yet we could read the agreement Hogan made, which had clauses
in there where if he were fired or left before paying off the
loan, that the loan then becomes due.
I am skeptical that Hogan actually sued for fraud and that
Seagate countersued. Hogan would not have a leg to stand on.
And in the case between them, Seagate did indeed prevail.
Is it perhaps more likely that Hogan is misrepresenting the
suit by Seagate to put himself in a more favorable light?
Seagate had already performed their part of the contract in
making the loan. Now it was Hogans turn to make good on it.
Hogan has absolutely no cause of action to claim fraud on
Seagates part.
Based upon the information I am currently aware of,
I do not believe Hogan when he claims he sued for fraud first.
