Even if she hadn't rushed it, this case put more than 100 pages of jury
instructions before the jurors. They were asked to decide dozens of different
questions, many of which used precise legal wording (the meaning of which, was
not precisely explained to them).

Even if they'd had no Hogan and deliberated for three times as long, it wouldn't
have surprised me if the jury had still made a giant hash of things.

A big step forward would be to dissolve patent law, invalidate all patents, and
throw all patent lawyers into the sea. Alas, it will not happen anytime soon.
