His interviews cost Apple a billion

If he hadn't given those interviews, most likely none of the
follow-up would have come to light. He didn't know when to
shut his trap.

Samsung's Claims of Juror Malice Revealed in Unredacted Filings
Authored by: Anonymous on Thursday, October 04 2012 @ 03:12 PM EDT
"I don't think that is the right way of looking at it. What he has (I
presume) done is to fail at illegitimately costing Samsung a billion"

Webster has an unusual way of writing. His comments are an interesting read, but
the meaning isn't always obvious. In this case, he said, "He has just cost
Apple a billion..." I think he is limiting that to post verdict and
possibly to the speculative future he created. The harm Samsung suffered amounts
to old news in Webster's analysis here. He's not talking about the big picture.

Keep in mind that Webster is a lawyer, if that helps. He's looking at things
from a more technical (legally speaking) point of view than most people are.
