I go one better - I have a CentOS system with 2 NICs. One has a WiFi router
attached, and the other connects to my home network. The port with the WiFi
router only has 2 ports open. One for ssh and one for the VPN. Ssh only accepts
key pair logins. The VPN requires 2 key pairs, and user-name/password to
connect. The user-name prompt does not come up until after the secure connection
is established.
In effect, you first have to crack the router. Then you have to crack the server
with only 2 ports available to crack it. To make things just a bit more
interesting, the router does not allow wireless to wireless traffic, so you can
not use the router to monitor other users.
Is it total secure? Nope. Is it more work to crack then it is worth? Probably.
Except for bragging rights...
