I think it's a good idea to encrypt one's own internet traffic. I also like the
idea of an open wifi. I publish three wifi access points. One is intentionally
open, one is a WPA2 encrypted "anonymous" access point, and one is a
highspeed (300MBs) encrypted connection. I'm not sure if anyone has ever used
any of those points outside of me and my family and guests. Not sure anyone
would try to access the "anonymous" access point. I'm thinking of
renaming that access point as "Speak_anonymous_and_enter". Ok...

This reminds me. Back when I was a kid, fences in our neighbourhood were rare.
We could play in the back yards up & down the street, without ever going
near a road. That doesn't happen much these days.
