I'm sorry, but as someone untrained in the legal arts a question that asks,
"Have you ever?" gets a two or three letter answer.

Without a follow-up request along the lines of "Please tell us about that
or those occasions" the juror has answered the question.

Perhaps you feel it's implicit in "tell the truth, the whole truth"
but the court doesn't have time for a full life story, and a juror shouldn't be
expected to know the appropriate boundaries.

There is no shortage of reasons to challenge Hogan's contribution to this trial,
but I am unsettled by the suggestion that by answering the exact question asked
he's considered to have misled the court.
