This has been followed up. I forget which news article it was, or it might have
been an article about Apple and the Swiss clock which was on the same site as
some news pick and I went to it from there.

Anyway, however I got to the article about this issue, the article says that
Apple has been in a hurry to make the Swiss Railway System happy. It also says
that Swiss Railways never said it wanted some huge payoff from Apple and
apparently only wants credit given where credit is due. I would speculate that
the matter will be settled by the inclusion of some fine print about the
copyrighted clock face and some words such as "used with permission."

So even while the whole episode demonstrates "slavish" copying, it
seems that no billion dollar lawsuit is in the offing.
