I don't agree that it isn't viable. Microsoft is in the
process of undertaking a huge expansion of its already huge
shill and astroturfing effort against Google, Linux, and open
source. Bing has always been a crappy search engine, so it
makes perfect for Microsoft to produce the world's first
"shill-engine" - and you thought Microsoft wasn't innovative.[ Reply to This | Parent | # ]

Just a thought.
These people are looked to for advice because they have
given good, reliable advice that has helped people out - or
they have been able to phrase things in a way that makes
sense to people.
If they start selling - in all senses of the term - their
reputation, then the basis of that reputation will start to
erode. Then their Klout scores won't be so high.
Businesses just don't understand ethics and reputation AT
ALL !!! Any company that is crazy enough to use this scheme
goes on my "DO NOT BUY" list. If you want to get shafted, go
to the company that is ready to sell their soul - or
somebody else's.
