I think you bring up an interesting point about who's the main audience for
lifting the injunction. However, I don't really see how you can say that the
Galaxy Tab 10.1 won't sell - as far as I can see it does pretty okay in Europe
so far (in places where Apple wasn't able to get an injunction, like in NL),
after all, doesn't it?

Actually, now it is reasonably easy to pick a model among the dozens of phones
Samsung offers: Samsung just does not have the marketing focus to pick
one item and advertise it so that everyone wants to have it. They
confuse the customer with choice.
Now Apple has done the choosing, and picked
a Samsung model that is cool to have, projecting "think different!". [ Reply to This | Parent | # ]

Also, seeing as the jury has ruled it doesn't infringe, there is no legal basis
whatsoever for the injunction.
As I understand the US legal system (especially with vexatious litigants like
Apple) you push for every point you can get. This is a very valuable point for
Samsung - their NON-infringing product has been banned!
If they didn't fight to get the ban lifted, they would be handing Apple valuable
PR points.
Cheers,
