Samsung Galaxy S III rom updates
Authored by: Anonymous on Wednesday, September 26 2012 @ 10:30 PM EDT
A few days ago, many 'respectable' computer technology type web sites were
giving easy how-tos on how to remotely wipe data from a variety of vulnerable
Samsung models. I was shocked! I never saw anything like this in all my years of
reading IT stuff.

I went back today, just a few days later, and the offending websites removed the
destructive material. F-insecure seems to be the last hold out. Or at least the
last I can find.

They are showing how to do it, but in a less obvious manner than the pages a few
days back were doing. All one has to do is read and think just a tiny, tiny bit
to see the destructive hack.

It appears they also provide a link to video showing how to.

Why did these websites post the malicious and destructive information in unison
in the first place? Why did they remove the cruel information so quickly?

Maybe they wanted big and easy money a company motivated against Samsung paid
them for the publishing damaging articles and instructions.

Maybe they removed their not so cute how-tos because a super rich company, like
Samsung, had lawyers let them know how much money Samsung has to sue and bury
them in legal expenses, if they don't remove that cruel information NOW!

After I realized how fast these reputable websites dropped their how tos, I
wished I had taken screen shots. I took screen shots today of the last remaining
destructive web page I can find, which if the F-secure page.

I wish PJ would let me use some really foul language. I don't know where to go
from here, under her restrictions.

~
