She is probably not entirely unfamiliar with messing
things up, or, as the case may be, having things messed
up for her, and if she is a good judge, she will have
no qualms about setting things straight, even if it
amounts to admitting she handled things wrong.

Mistakes are a natural part of any complicated job.
One thing that I find sets good people apart is
that they are open and direct about admitting a
mistake, and that they focus on doing something
about it instead of pretending it never happened,
making excuses or blaming it on someone else.

We'll see which course of action she chooses.
