Are there any UnXis customers on Groklaw?
Authored by: rsteinmetz70112 on Wednesday, September 26 2012 @ 11:13 AM EDT
As a former Santa Cruz Reseller, support from Santa Cruz was never stellar,
except perhaps for large customers. Most users got support from resellers who
often sold their own services as support without a contract from Santa Cruz.
This support was often excellent, better than Santa Cruz's.

There was and remains fairly good community support but most resellers have
migrated most of their customers to Linux or BSD.

There are some users who have important applications which have not migrated and
cannot be migrated without substantial new investment so they are holding on to
what they have and know.

I still have one OpenServer machine running foxbase and an accounting system
which is obsolete and unused except for occasional archival searches. It will be
disposed of as soon as I feel that the IRS can't require any information it
contains.
