Which means that money will be needed to transfer/buy the claim from SCO to

BSF is going to abandon the case.
SCO doesn't have the money to sue them.
The trustee isn't going to front the money to sue them, given the risk of a
decades long legal war. Boies was involved in a 16 year legal battle over a
Florida lawn care business, losing every round and appealing every loss.
The judges in the individual cases will consider compelling BSF to continue to
represent SCO, but decide their time is better spent not reading the voluminous
filings that would result.
Sometimes a nasty reputation ends up being a benefit.
