Could this have repercussions on the jury foreman

It seems to me that the US legal system is like a hockey
game with no referees.

Don't forget that the foreman's urge to sprinkle self glory all over himself has

While the US Legal System frowns upon jury stupidity, it does not explicitly
proscribe it.

Could this have repercussions on the jury foreman

The comments in this thread are a bit harsh.

It's true that the foreman has
been arrogant and stupid. He
didn't follow the instructions as he promised he
would, and
the introducing of his own "expert" testimony is probably
going to
lead to an expensive retrial.

Nevertheless, I think he genuinely tried to do
his best to
carry out his civic duty and arrive at what he thought was
the
right verdict. These petty and vindictive revenge
fantasies of pauperising him
for the rest of his life, or of
sending him off to a state-sponsored torture
camp, don't
look much like justice either.

Could this have repercussions on the jury foreman

No. Not usually. In the US, the jury is
left alone most of the time, because you
want people to be willing to serve and
not be penalized for doing so.
