It's the Comes subject again
Authored by: Anonymous on Friday, September 21 2012 @ 06:19 AM EDT
The Comes collection consists of documents by, or about Microsoft, describing
how it sabotaged actual, and potential competitors, amongst other damage that it
is extremely proud to have done.

It provides fairly solid evidence that the working code of ethics of Microsoft
is: "You win the brass win by engaging in conduct that is immoral,
unethical, and illegal".

I don't remember if it was a document in the Comes Collection, or another
collection, that Bill Gates outlines how to bribe government officials, without
being convicted of bribery.

It's the Comes subject again

The other replies failed to mention the practical aspects of this thread.

Some of the discovery from Comes has been made public. Unfortunately, those
documents are not in any useful form. So Groklaw volunteers are transcribing
the documents into some form of searchable text e.g. HTML. They then post the
text in this thread. PJ grabs the post and adds it to the archive.

This means that anyone who wants to know about Microsoft's bad behavior can
quickly and easily find proof, all in one place. This is incredibly useful to
anyone involved in a court case with MS or any of it's sock puppets.

Go read the Comes archive and you'll get quite an education.

It just dawned on me that a NPO that did this for all trials where the documents
become available to the public could radically change the way companies do
business. Instead of worrying about an email being used against you in court,
executives would have to worry about their emails being plastered all over the
Internet for ever.

Thanks everyone!

As the author of the post, I'd like to thank everyone for the
info. Aside from bringing this important information to
light, and I fully agree with doing something like this, I'd
wonder if this "materiel" would serve as training docs for
the truly evil. But then I have faith that drawing from the
community like groklaw has done will prevail.
