Guess that's what happens if you want to go spend your resources on a
“Thermonuclear War”: You can no longer afford to develop
quality products.
Now, how again was this “Thermonuclear
War” supposed to save their business? [ Reply to This | Parent | # ]

It's incredibly annoying.
I've got an iPhone 4, so I get none of the new features
(turn by turn, flyover, etc.) and I lose lots of features I
use regularly.
Also the UX is substantially worse in Apple's release. For
instance the first thing I do when I find what I'm looking
for is get directions to it. In the old app that was 'click
on dropdown, click on directions to here'. In the new app
it's the same except they've put screeds of stuff like phone
numbers, addresses and other information before you get to
'directions to here'. You get there, but it takes longer.
Finally Apple is nowhere near as good as Google at search
and it shows. Misspellings, common abbreviations, or even
just extra business lists... Google Maps is absolutely
amazing for finding things while Apples' is ... well, worse
than Bing. Average, I guess you'd say.
To be fair the maps app is the only thing I don't like about
iOS 6 so far, but I _really_ don't like it.
