But the EU Commission, regarding the Google
purchase, IIRC, stated that so far in the EU,
injunctions are possible.

And the court in Germany has granted an
injunction. Duh.

The F in FRAND is for "Fair". If you license your inventions under FRAND terms,
that doesn't mean you've contributed them to the public domain. It only means
that you've agreed to accept "Fair, Reasonable And Non-Discriminatory" terms for
licensees who agree to license your invention.

If you try to use the invention
for free forever, expect to be called on it.
