It's in our DNA
Authored by: Anonymous on Thursday, September 13 2012 @ 07:06 PM EDT
Maybe...

Or maybe we've all just got attitude problems and resent someone telling what to
do with our own bought and paid for gadgets.

The MicroApple Consortium is merely trying to impose a timeout to adjust our
errant and perverse thinking.

Human beings crave freedom. It's in our DNA
Authored by: Anonymous on Friday, September 14 2012 @ 08:52 AM EDT
If freedom were in our DNA, we'd do something about it, but we don't.

Instead, we worry ourselves sick over which smartphone to buy so we can be
distracted from the freedoms denied us. Instead, we live in our social media
paradises and don't give a hoot about what's happening in the real world, nor
what the real world is, even. Once distracted, what's real to us becomes that
which is fed to us. And everything in the garden is lovely.

So we roll over and allow our governments to convince us the wars they create
are stirred up by foreign terrorists. And why should we care otherwise? We all
have our smartphones, don't we?
