What's the history to this story? Looking over the records, it seems that Microsoft settled with them and Google defeated them in Texas (or did they?).

Lightning connector spec doesn’t list video-out

Reducing cable clutter has been a Mac strong point for years. Third party suppliers will shortly release Lightning -> Video breakout cables for the dinosaurs who want them. The rest of us will struggle securing the wifi input on our projectors/screens. Coming soon to an office near you, the clutter free Star Trek set look.

remember that Apple got a court in the US to say that Motorola was not allowed
to enforce it's injunction against Apple.

Now Apple wants it's injunction enforced against Motorola

According to Apple, only it's patents are valid enough to be enforced.
