Would seem possible. Looks like US businesses are teaming up to contribute
significant sums to EU funds.

Incompetently drafted

thru ignorance of the tech. It's all very well asking for phones to have
a standard -charging- connector. Will that connector standard also
support the necessary data protocols? Put the phones aside for a
moment, it seems like every new portable USB Hard Drive I look at,
every new camera I see, has yet another wierdo socket and special
cable in the box. So long as Apple include a Bozo<->microUSB
adapter in the box for EU sales they will be complying with the
letter of the law. But sorta looks stupid for Apple's claims of greenness.
