If you had been paying attention...

From what I have seen on it, the Twin Towers had no central support collumns.
The vertical support structure was all in the iconic exterior white columns. The
individual floors were independant platforms bolted to the vertical columns
along the outside edge of the floor platform. This tied the colums togeather
giving the whole structure extrodiary rigitity for a building its size.

No building before or since has been built like this.

The fire from the jet fule melted the bolts that tied the floors hit to the
vertical columns. The floors hit then fell inside the support columns down onto
the next floor shearing its ties to the support column.

From a special I saw on discovery, scale model tests of this type of
construction has shown that under any collapse senario it will inevitablly fall
straight down into it's own foot print.
