Sadly, yes, some PHB's still specify Lotus
Authored by: mcinsand on Monday, September 10 2012 @ 12:07 PM EDT
I know of at least two massive international companies that use Lotus Notes.
The only good thing that I can say about Lotus Notes is that it makes Outlook
Express look absolutely stellar! The key is to make a set of search functions
that are nowhere close to Bing in terms of usability or effectiveness.

But wait! There's less! Are you used to tunable inbox filters of a modern mail
client? Are you used to using these filters to appropriately sort incoming mail
between Spam, interesting, and for later reading? Just to make sure that you
have a bad time with Lotus Notes, the package only has the ability to sort by a
specific e-mail address.

I just don't get it. With mail clients like this, you'd think companies would
be screaming for Thunderbird and gmail!

Regards,
mc
