Well hold on with your judgement against Koh at least
until we see what she actually said. As PJ pointed out
this is standard commentary in a court... which clearly
wasn't followed here..

My thought was that she should have learned a bit more from whatever
judge she clerked for... but I couldn't find any evidence that she's ever
done a clerkship.

If anybody con find I'm wrong, I'd like to see it. Then we'd have
somebody else to blame. :)

Her tone may have affected the jury.

I think her impatience with what the legal teams wanted to
present, exclusion of important evidence, and the fact she
would not allow sufficient time for presentation of the
facts and arguments of what is a very complicated case, may
have affected the jury's attitude and behaviour.

In particular it may have encouraged the jury to regard the
evidence and expert witness testimony with contempt and so
ignore it and rely on the expert testimony of the foreman
instead, and prompted them to push through a rushed verdict
as it is evident that they did.
