Wintel feeling less in control

Could this be a simple cartel play to once again carve linux out of the architecture? Surely MS could orchestrate this through their hardware partners.

If it is Win8 only then surely that means that it also won't run Win7 or WinXP.
As these two are likely to be Win8's biggest competitors then MS is trying to
force Win8 down user's throats until they get to _love_ Metro.

Of course, MS first has to get OEMs to make Win8 only computers, then it has to
get the public to buy them.

Maybe end users will see TIFKAM (Metro) in the shops and notice that it looks
like the phone they didn't buy last year.
