From Designer Pants To Design Patents - The Yoga Wear Wars
Authored by: stegu on Monday, September 17 2012 @ 02:27 AM EDT
The sad thing is that this shift of focus from
the mere tech that underpins most of our modern
society to really important things like fashion
design might be what makes these arguments stick
with the general public.
"You patented WHAT?" could now soon become a
mainstream media headline.

Designer Pants -- prior art?
Authored by: Anonymous on Monday, September 17 2012 @ 08:14 AM EDT
Given that there is almost no barrier to entry, with fashion designers recycling
work from earlier years, and the natural variations in manufacturing it seems
to me that it would be very hard to find a design that hasn't been seen before.
The Lulu lemon pants remind me a lot of cycling shorts and a neoprene ski suit I
had back in the 70's.
