Need for employees to be able to leave office on Friday,
data guys do migration over weekend, employees get back to
work on Monday, and notice no difference on their screens.

No down time.

No small business has free time to re-enter the data, and do
not have the money to pay for it. The data was entered from
day one, customer by customer, not by entering in any other
way (paper files lived side by side with data files until
enough time had passed where paper was not needed - or
scanning became affordable to just scan into files the old
information to refer to if needed).
