There have been whispers and undercurrents that Samsung will
never win anything in Silicon Valley because no judge would
ever rule against Apple and expect to remain a judge.
So there might be some token payment about Galaxy, but I
think that the chances of any sort of action on Koh's part
that would in any significant way change the jury verdict -
is next to null.
Not that she couldn't - there are at least grounds for re-
examining the verdict (and the magistrate's decisions, for
that matter), but I can't see it happening in Northern
California.
Maybe if the trial were held somewhere less saturated by

The bond is set against damages caused by banning the Tab
10.1.
Since the Tab was never actually banned, it is likely that
Apple will never pay anything, because there are no damages.
OTOH, since Apple went around to carriers telling them it
was banned, they might be liable and have to pay Samsung
something.
