Suicides & Proview Con Job, tank iPhone Sales... Plus GSIII to Out Sell All iPhone Models!
Authored by: Anonymous on Thursday, September 06 2012 @ 07:18 AM EDT
August was the first full month in the US market that GSIII
was on sale here. July was only a partial month for Global &
US GSIII sales. Europe did NOT even have GSIII fully offered
till July and only half a dozen countries had sales in June
Internationally. So in effect GSIII was NOT the reason
SAMSUNG sold 50 Million Smartphones in the June Quarter.

That's a two to one ratio over Apple's sales of all it's
models in the same period globally. In a full quarter prior
to the launch of a new Samsung model going on sale (that
should have been a weak quarter). If you consider that
iPhones should have had some of their best sales of 4s in
only it's 3rd full quarter on market. So if anything the
Apple vs SAMSUNG lawsuit has had a bad effect globally.
Along with Apple adding carriers in another 14 countries and
two new carriers here in USA. But none of this seemed to
overcome the slide of it's sales in China well as Globally.

Now if that isn't a slap in Apple's face, I don't know what
is. Because you need to remember to top this all off with
this bit of news; Besides Verizon, AT&T, Sprint and Cspire,
Apple iPhone had gone "Pay as You Go" here and in early May,
iPhone went on four new carriers in the US market. By also
launching two models on Pioneer Cellular, with iPhone 4S
launching on Nex-Tech Wireless, Golden State Cellular and
Bluegrass Cellular.

Most importantly after iPhone had gone on sale with 30 new
carriers globally the quarter before. While also only
launching 4s in China in January. Which included huge pre-
sales to a very frustrated, pent up demand for iPhone 4s.
Then to nearly red lined sales of all models in China. When
the Chinese people realized exactly what Apple really
thought of them (3rd class animals) and their own
corporations. While attempting glorify themselves as Good
Guys in the FoxCONNED Suicide debacle and Con... Proview out
of the iPad name (on the dirt bag cheap), originally
Trademarked a decade earlier. So that now, where it really
counts, with the Consuming Chinese Public (now the greatest
Smartphone market on the planet) Apple's reputation has been
totally obliterated.

What does that mean when now, along with GSIII being on 300
carriers in 160 countries and projected to easily top 60
million globally with 30 million of that being Galaxy SIII
sales by the end of this month??? ....iphone (not to mention
it being all models) will get beat by ONE SAMSUNG PHONE
MODEL ALONE GLOBALLY!

So now... we know why Apple is already offering discounts on
iPhone 5 by paying existing customers to trade in their
iPhones for it. Knowing that those are the only people still
drinking their Kool-aid, that they're going to sell to!!!

Where legal justice failed, market justice is working
Authored by: Anonymous on Thursday, September 06 2012 @ 09:58 AM EDT
While it has been pointed out that the SIII, and Android phones in general, have
been succeeding because of the openness and better features of Android over iOS,
there is another aspect that I have not seen noted as often.

iPhones are more like a black box than a computer. Android phones come closer to
being a little, tiny, portable computer that you can carry around. In my
opinion, they still are not there yet, but they are getting closer. For
instance, there is apparently very little difference hardware wise between the
versions of the SIII that are sold by different carriers. In the U.S., with the
exception of Verizon, the boot loader is not locked, and Samsung will directly
sell you and unlocked phone for Verizon if you want. So, you could install your
own O/S if you wanted to.

I am still hoping for the day that I can buy, not a phone, but a generic tiny
portable computer, and then separately load my favorite distribution of GNU
phone software. The carrier should just be like an ISP and have nothing to do
with the way the device works. Android bring us a bit closer to that ideal, but
we are not there yet.
