Prior Art - STRING PHYSICS Open Source Project = Rubber Band effect!
Authored by: Anonymous on Monday, September 03 2012 @ 05:33 PM EDT
This is another example of Apple outright stealing from the Open Source community. But what are you going to do, when they have no patents? But this could most likely be used as prior art I would think. Unfortunately MacSlow one of the original Open Source developers on the project (along with Apple) have completely wiped most of the photo app references off the web. Except in old Compiz-Beryl Community Forums pages and Cairo-Dock web page, that still uses string physics (rubber band effect).

They/he killed his Developer Web Page (photo album) and there are only the remnants of Cairo-Dock to show for it in Linux. MacSlow was snapped up by Apple and he's even taken down all his YouTube videos. This is the video on YouTube you've linked to, I've fixed you!

It just hit me that "Rubber Band" effect has tons of prior art. But.... now that Apple ripped it off the Open Source community by hiring one of the chief developers (MacSlow), the only way to find it now is in old Compiz-Quinn and Compiz- Beryl forums!

btw... Apple Photo Album is based on String Physics an Open Source Project. You can't separate the code from the feature, it's unpatentable as a coded method. Here's the link for Cairo-Dock webpage!

So there's your "Prior Art" Google and Samsung!!!!
