Well, I think you go too far. Remember, Groklaw
is about what is true. It's not about propaganda.
Apple makes simply beautiful products that work
extremely reliably and last and last. I personally
have changed batteries many times. It depends on
the product.
And it's not about money for Apple. Or it never used
to be. On the contrary, Steve Jobs' belief was that
if you just focused on making products that delight
people, you don't have to worry about the money. It
will follow. And it did.
And when you are creative, a design artist as Ive is,
what focus group could tell him what would be the
next great thing? He's designing from genius, not
committee. And if you are trying to be the first to
do something that transforms the industry, a focus group
doesn't help. They will tell you they want what they
have with maybe an added feature. Jobs was trying to
make a dent in the universe, remember. It's not
done by committee or focus group.
I despise patent aggression, but to pretend Apple
doesn't make lovely products that people genuinely
love to use would be dishonest.[ Reply to This | Parent | # ]
