I am inclined to agree, and the same can be said about M$. The behaviour of
the brainwashed fanbois says it all. Funnily enough, the leader of another pernicious cult which
practises brainwashing has only just died. And yes, I do know that those of his
followers whom I have met over the years all showed strong signs of
brainwashing, so I am not just relying on what the media have said. [ Reply to This | Parent | # ]

Your suggestion that even Apple as a company
is a cult, and not just the Apple user base
as argued by the article you linked to, is...
interesting. I think it is a bit over the top
to call the *company* a cult outright, but it
looks as if Apple at least has unusually large
problems adjusting to a change of leadership
after the charismatic and very dominant Jobs,
and might be clinging a little too closely to
his ghost for its own good.
But then again, Steve Jobs' ghost may have
nothing to do with it. Apple might just be out
of ideas, and they have simply chosen to follow
the only path they see that could possibly
be profitable in the face of waning sales.
"We are slowly becoming irrelevant. Let's sue
the world and its dog over our precious IP!"
Sadly, that rings only too familiar.
