I don't quite think so. While many are
certainly repulsed,
there are many who
haven't even HEARD of the Apple v Samsung matter.
I have seen the case being
covered in mainstream
(network TV) media. I'd not be
surprised if a large portion of the public knows
about it.

Even here in backard ol' Atlanta, the verdict made headlines
in the daily paper.
Everybody knows about it.[ Reply to This | Parent | # ]

That is, we are trying to cast as wide a net outside the narrow but excellent
confines of Groklaw to figure out what the "average" consumer is up
to. Suppose that your wife is "average", and, like many of us, has
been too overwhelmed to spot the headlines.
How does she decide what gadget to buy next? Will it be when her phone breaks,
or when she sees somebody with a tablet? Does she have any interest in
"iPad" like devices?
Does she use her phone like many of us used to use our desktops?
Inquiring minds are curious...trying to get a handle on what is about to happen
to Apple's bottom line as a consequence of its legal behavior. Hopefully that
isn't too off-topic for Groklaw.
