This is not accurate info. I have changed batteries
and RAM all by myself. They will mail them to you
or just pick one up at an Apple story. Unless you are talking about the Air.
And the devices last longer and are trouble
free longer, in my experience. And their support
is superlatively wonderful, and if your show up
and your issue takes less than 15 minutes with a
Genius, it's totally free.
So I don't think they are more expensive,
particularly if you include all
the software that comes with it. Their legal
stategy is offensive, but there's no truth to
the idea that they don't make wonderful products.
They do.
I love them because they are so quiet, the laptops.
I have never had an Air, so I can't speak to that,
but the hardware is stress-free and pleasant. They
think of many small details that are thoughtful, and
it is why I don't understand why they think they
have to sue competitors, frankly.
