That's just
wishful thinking. The job of the legal department is to do the best legal work
for Apple they can, not the best Public Relations work. Setting the priorities
is a matter of upper management.
Repulsion felt by the public, sad to say,
is something you mostly concern yourself with when making your career
choice.
As an independent attorney, you have a modicum of influence on the
fights you are taking on for whom. As part of a legal company or department,

Lawyers work for the client. Sometimes, they will advise the client to drop a
suit, for whatever reasons. Sometimes the client will insist on continuing. In
that case, the lawyer has covered his behind, and can continue the suit. Who
