Apple and Samsung Fight About Apple's Desire to File a Motion for Reconsideration Re Scheduling Hearing Dates ~pj

http://www.bizjournals.com/seattle/blog/techflash/2012/08/apple-samsung-trial-su rvey-may-worry.html

"When asked if they agreed with the jury, 55 percent said no and 41 percent said yes...Among those who didn't like the verdict, 71 percent said it was 'unfair'..."

That's (.55*.71) = 39 percent who think it was "unfair."

"Among those who agreed with the jury, 63 percent said they felt Samsung had stolen designs from Apple..."

That's another (.41*.37) = 15 percent who think that Samsung didn't steal designs from Apple (even though they think Apple should win anyway--go figure).

So, that could be read as 54 percent who either believe the ruling itself was unfair, or that Samsung's being punished for something they didn't do (which is prima facie unfair).

Granted, "disgusted" is an emotional state, but the opinions of those who aren't disgusted by unfairness are of no interest to me anyway. :)

Why not survey it here?

At least the trolls will show up. It might be to bright for trolls, they don't
really like to burst.

All you have to do is read articles and people's posts. It
is not even close.

What they might be afraid of?

The UK Appeal backing Samsung (seems likely) and Apple having to globally state
that Samsung did not infringe. Apple would want to get what they can in the US
before that notice goes up.

Take a look at News Picks. There's a survey
there, but notice all the lawyers, even, who
are writing about it and commenting about it,
one after the other. And I'm not picking and
choosing just the negatives. It's overwhelming.

Whoever is doing the survey, I am one who is repulsed by what Apple is doing. I

am a long time Apple fan and right now am in the market for a new laptop to
replace my 3 year old MacBook Pro. I was going to order another Apple but now,
I am hesitant. Is Apple becoming another Microsoft? I was also going to buy
Apple TV. Don't think that is going to happen either. So, whomever is compiling

the survey, add me to the list.
