For a portable object, rounded corners are just long-established utilitarian
design. Sharp corners do not make for a good portable device, as established
for decades and longer.
After looking at recent phone equipment, I tend to agree with the parent. Apple
is like MS; both companies started out targeting the personal/hobby market, and
neither has really grown up. There are many good reasons that neither is
prominent in HPC's or (reliable) servers. For those, you need performance,
flexibility, and something you can trust.[ Reply to This | Parent | # ]

Really? A public discussion? Here's my contribution. I have four active Macs
and know of a half dozen more for which I'm the friend/family
administrator.
All good. No hardware problems. I'm sure you felt
that was as
useless to read as I thought it was useless to say. [ Reply to This | Parent | # ]

Even if someone thinks round corners are femine, I don't care and here is why:
I'm a fully confident hetersexual and it would take more than someone like you
to make a dent in my confidence.

Agreed on the battery issue. It's pretty indicative of them not trusting their
users. Same reason for the one-button mouse. More than one button is too
complicated for their target market.[ Reply to This | Parent | # ]
