You are being rude, first of all, and second,
jurors are not stupid. That is *not* a given.
The foreman was many things, but stupid is
not one of them.

Remember Reporting Bias? Jury does right, that's not news!

But Jury does something surprising, possibly wrong, you read all about it.

Really skews your view if all you read is the news.......

I think the jury decided he had no intent and considerably regrets what
happened...and he still has to deal with a DWI, so a year in jail is still on
his plate, and his practice is almost certainly in ruins and he may have to face
rehab. If you have ever been on the recieving end of the law, you know your life
is turned upside down for months on end.

Lots of hate for the Dr in the comments there, perhaps his $$ is buying
leniency. But there are at least 4 sides to every story, and the sensational
ones are the ones we read.
