Yes, I'm an American and now I stand accused by a US company of knowingly
purchasing and using copied technology. That does not make me receptive to
Apple, its corporate philosophy or anything it does or sells or says.
I disagree that I'm a user of copied technology, software or designs. I bought a
Galaxy Tab 10.1 because it was Android powered and Samsung, to my knowledge,
hasn't sued an end buyer of its products for changing the software or 'hacking'
what they had bought.
Now a US jury has said Apple invented pinch & zoom, despite the work of past
engineers and innovators. Apple invented the rectangle with rounded corners.
Yes, even though I'm an American, I hope other countries take note of this and
stop all shipments of Apple products at their borders. Apple is a company built
on the hard work or people who didn't work for Apple. Now it has not only
impugned the integrity of millions of consumers, it has tried to steal the work
product of people it has no business relationship with, and without compensation
or acknowledgment. If that's not an accurate description of piracy, I don't know
what is.[ Reply to This | Parent | # ]
