Not unusual in my experience
Authored by: Anonymous on Saturday, August 25 2012 @ 12:30 PM EDT
When I first read about the foreman, I immediately "sse" a
photo of late S Jobs.
He surely have a lesser ego, but no doubt, he led the group of
nine to the "victory" with an "air" of I KNOW EVERYTHING,
I'M
AN INVENTOR.
Do the deliberations have a record? I would really see and
hear what was told.

If you let him bully you then you were not doing your job.

In a situation like that, I would have voted no to everything
and made it clear it would continue until he stopped his
bullying.

That disgusts me
Authored by: Anonymous on Saturday, August 25 2012 @ 10:40 PM EDT
That's not an issue of systemic corruption, that's an issue
of systemic cowardice.

"There was nothing I could do."
You actually believe that, don't you? I would feel ashamed
for you if you didn't represent the majority of soft-
bellied, weak-willed people who have made America not the
greatest country on earth any more.

A coward dies a thousand times before his death...
How many times did you bend to the will of the alpha on that
grand jury? How many times did you die?

Unless it's made you a better person (and based on your
belief that 'there was nothing you could do', it clearly has
not), you should never ever ever tell that story publicly
again. Ever.

Who is more powerful? The Jury Foreman or the Judge?
Authored by: Anonymous on Saturday, August 25 2012 @ 10:43 PM EDT

You should have brought your feelings - and what was going on to raise those feelings - to the attention of the Judge.

The Foreman has no power to punish you. The Judge does.

Your story does not sound like evidence of a corrupt system, this was you and
the other jurors not standing up for what you believe in, if you don't do it who

will?
