| I hope that Apple never, ever have another bright idea, and cease to exist when
their cash mountain runs out. I don't like companies who sell their not
particularly special products, built by almost slave labour, at greatly inflated
prices to people who don't know any better. Oh, and I never frequent

| Well, I have never been much of an Apple fan, but if anyone came to me and asked
if they should get an Apple product, I generally replied that it was up to them
to decide whether the premium price would be money well spent.
That has
ended with this lawsuit. Apple no longer works on “great”
products (for whichever definition of “great”), but feels it
needs to go crying to judges in order to prevent the public from getting
“great” products from competitors. In other words, they
stopped caring about customers (assuming that they ever did care in the
first place—but I'll give them the benefit of doubt on this
one).
These examples, about people wondering why they paid so much more for
Apple products, when Apple itself claims that cheaper alternatives are equally
good (and the court even appears to agree), just help to strengthen that
message.
Perhaps Samsung should set up an ad campaign stating that
“Even Apple considers our products (at least) as good as theirs...

I honestly think Apple are fresh out of ideas,
so my "wish" was more of a rhetorical one, but
*if* they suddenly have a bright idea, and act on
it to once again create products that (some) people
really want, I do not particularly care to see
them go out of business just out of principle.
That is, provided they also stop their current
litigation madness.
A healthy and fresh Apple is way better than a
rotten, bitter and dying Apple trying to extort
money by litigation. They can cause a lot more
trouble before they are history. But as I said,
I'm not really holding my breath for Apple to
suddenly see the error of their ways.
I would not buy their stuff right now even if
they did have a product I wanted. (They don't.)
