At some level of sophistication, user interfaces ought to be patentable art.
And I credit Apple (and to a lesser degree, Microsoft) for doing excellent work
in human interfaces.
Still, I think there is some level where obviousness kicks in. It probably
takes a jury to decide that.
In the bigger picture, the jury is working inside a flawed system, so they can't
be expected to produce a result that looks rational outside the system.

Other than where the International HQ is located, Samsung is far more
integrated into the US, as an American company, than Apple.
I've forgotten which politician congratulated Samsung for being the kind of
great American company that doesn't export jobs to the Far East[ Reply to This | Parent | # ]
