I can certainly live with being part of a minority.
In fact, the world is diverse enough for most
people to belong to a minority of some sort, and
I do not want everyone to be the same. That would
be both dangerous and utterly boring.
What I do not want to accept is that the
minority that I belong to is being discriminated
against. As long as I can run a free and open
operating system on a computer that does not
limit what I can do or spy on my actions without
my consent, I am perfectly content with having
most of the world around me running a restricted
OS and spending all their spare time spilling
their innermost secrets in public on Facebook.
That is not for me, but it's their choice.
Even though I would like to sometimes point out
that there are alternatives in case people want
to try them, I do not wish to tell others how to
live their lives. I expect the same from others.

As a species, we have many self-destructive tendencies.
Now, what's your point?
