Public Social reaction: Samsung THE SAME as Apple? What am I paying for?
Authored by: Anonymous on Sunday, August 26 2012 @ 10:38 AM EDT
That is, for most of us, it's a phone, silly...nobody is impressed by them
anymore, especially as all of the digerati have one.

Apple has just destroyed the perceived (mainly style--remember the british judge
declaring a Samsung wasn't "cool" enough to be an iThing?) difference
between its much more expensive product and Samsung's much cheaper product.

IMHO, This will cost Apple more than just a single Billion dollars in profits,
as they just substantially reduced either their margins or their sales.

Apple, Apple, Apple

" But if Asia decides it doesn't like Apple, maybe
things could get a lot harder for Apple."

Europe doesn't like Apple as well. I won't buy Apple for a long long time and I
will advice everyone to do likewise.

The feeling here (europe) is "an American jury, an American judge and an
American company against a foreign company. What else would you expect. And it
does not even matter if that feeling is just, the feeling is what matters!

And I am still waiting for the first big companies making products that state
"not available in the US". I already know of small companies to do so.
Maybe Samsung comes next.
