Allsup as judge

The absence of damage reports is particularly noticeable.

We'll see - I doubt Koh is pleased with the jury conduct either

Even this immediate case isn't quite over - there's still motions pending and
this is crazy enough it might fall under "no reasonable jury"
territory - we'll see.

He's a better case manager

If Alsup were the judge, they'd have broken it down to just a few patents out of
the whole bunch, the damages would not be absurd, the jury would have had only a
few questions to consider, so it hopefully would not have been so inconsistent,
and he wouldn't have been at his wit's end the whole time due to being buried in
legal papers for having let the cast spiral out of control.

In short, as strange as it looked the first time I saw him do it, this case
shows the absolute brilliance of how he hacked a potentially gigantic case into
something manageable.

Other judges would do well to learn from his example. Unless, of course, they
like getting buried in paperwork.
