Why on earth would IBM want to buy them?
Authored by: pem on Wednesday, August 29 2012 @ 07:18 PM EDT
They spent a lot of money clearing their good name, and buying these
"assets" would be tantamount to an admission there was some there
there.

Why not Groklaw?

That is, for a small price, purchase all the records of TSG, with the intent of

finding evidence of the true sponsors, and simply dropping all pending
litigation, permanently.

That might not cost too much more than A very fancy red dress for PJ!

Novell should just demand them in lieu of converted fees
Authored by: xtifr on Wednesday, August 29 2012 @ 10:45 PM EDT
I can't imagine that the remaining assets total more than what TSG owes Novell
in illegally converted licensing fee money. Since those assets were converted
(stolen), Novell should have prior claim over any simple creditors. If there's
any info to be found digging through the corpse, Novell should be the one to get
it.

Novell should also have computer forensic experts standing by to scrounge
through the hard drives of any physical machines they can recover. :)

Apple? Oracle?

They've brought other silly lawsuits. Maybe they've decided to enter the
lawsuit business in general.
