Well... With Cahn still at the helm...
Authored by: capt.Hij on Wednesday, August 29 2012 @ 06:47 PM EDT
You say that as if the idea of converting a successful corporation into a
wreckless, short term vehicle for immediate gains for a few people at the
expense of the corporation itself and the people it serves is something new or
something to be avoided. I believe that there are some who call that the
"destructive creation" aspect of capitalism and is something to be
proud of. There is little hope to see this turned into something that serious
people are to avoid.

On a side note, using the term "litigation prospects" as if it is a
corporate asset made me throw up a little bit in my mouth. A sad but inevitable
day. A lot of people lost their livelihoods over this and at least one family
lost a loved one. Novel and IBM certainly lost a boatload of cash. PJ had her
life turned inside out by these clowns. Nothing to celebrate over the ashes of
this funeral pyre.

Cahn is only interim trustee. The Chapter 7 meeting of creditors gives the
creditors an opportunity to replace him if they can get a majority of creditors.

How Does One Get Appointed A "Trustee"
Authored by: Anonymous on Thursday, August 30 2012 @ 04:37 AM EDT
If there was ever a sweeter job I know of none. This guy
gets to rape and plunder the last of SCO's money, is
the first in line to get PAID by this dead corpse, etc.
What happened to paying the REAL creditors that have
been waiting to be paid for eons?? It is people like
Cahn that give lawyers such a bad reputation. I could
only wish that somebody would start disbarment
proceedings. The idea that somehow he represented
SCO's best interest is very doubtful; it seems he
represented his OWN interests first. SCO should have in
been in Ch. 7 over a year ago. From where I sit, there is
a real conflict of interest going on, that allows a "trustee"
to profit during a bankruptcy procedure. This has been
the Greatest Legal Sham I have witnessed.

Yep, the looters are still minding the store.
