Funny idea but impractical.

There simply aren't enough 5 cent pieces in circulation.

1,049,423,540 * 20 = 20,988,470,800 (5-cent coins)

This isn't true. Don't spread it.

It was a joke.

It also isn't possible. Samsung doesn't owe a
dime until the appeals are over, if it ever does.

Interestingly, this is not possible in the UK, and for quite small amounts. I think too many people have tried it too many times.

What can you pay for with 1p and 2p coins? Not an £800 bill

And since this is a legally biased site, here's the Coinage Act 1971 to prove it. See section 2 "Legal Tender".
